1. Purpose and Scope

This Copyright Policy describes the rights and responsibilities regarding the use, distribution, and protection of intellectual property owned or licensed by The EcoPrint (“we,” “us,” or “our”). It applies to all users of EcoPrint software, platforms, documentation, services, and web-based systems, regardless of whether they are accessed directly or through third-party integrations.

This policy is intended to protect the proprietary content and assets of The EcoPrint and ensure that customers, partners, employees, and third-party users comply with applicable U.S. copyright law (Title 17 of the U.S. Code) and international copyright conventions including the Berne Convention and the WIPO Copyright Treaty.

2. Copyright Ownership

Unless otherwise indicated, all content provided, distributed, or accessed through EcoPrint software, websites, documentation, or services is the exclusive intellectual property of The EcoPrint. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Software: Source code, object code, APIs, software libraries, update packages, and embedded applications
  • User Interface and Design: Layouts, graphical elements, CSS files, JavaScript, icons, and menu structures
  • Web Content: Website text, blog posts, forms, page templates, and downloadable content
  • Documentation: User manuals, guides, datasheets, technical whitepapers, FAQs, training materials
  • Marketing Assets: Brochures, case studies, demo videos, email templates, and branded presentations
  • Digital Media: Images, videos, sound files, animations, and screen recordings
  • Internal Content: Training material, internal tools, reports, configuration templates, and policies

These works are protected by U.S. and international copyright laws, and all rights are reserved unless otherwise stated through a separate written agreement.

3. Software Licensing and Use

The EcoPrint software is licensed, not sold. The rights granted to users are governed strictly by the terms of the End User License Agreement (EULA), Master Services Agreement (MSA), or a similar binding document. Unless otherwise agreed upon:

  • Users may install, operate, and use the software only for internal business purposes
  • Redistribution, resale, or sublicensing of the software or parts thereof is strictly prohibited
  • Access to source code or back-end architecture is not permitted unless contractually authorized
  • Users must not attempt to circumvent licensing mechanisms, copy protection, or authentication layers

The EcoPrint reserves the right to audit software usage to ensure compliance with licensing terms.

4. Trademarks and Brand Identity

The EcoPrint name, logo, product names, slogans, and graphical identifiers are either registered trademarks or trademarks in use owned by The EcoPrint. These include:

  • EcoPrint™
  • EcoPrint Embedded™
  • Product names and icons used within printer terminals or admin dashboards

These marks may not be used without written permission for any of the following:

  • Marketing or advertising third-party products or services
  • Implied endorsement or partnership
  • Meta tags, SEO keywords, or domain names
  • Reproduction on merchandise, presentations, or sales collateral

Violation of this section may result in action under the Lanham Act (15 U.S. Code § 1125) for false association or trademark infringement.

5. Prohibited Activities

You may not engage in the following activities with EcoPrint’s intellectual property:

  • Copying or distributing content without prior authorization
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any software component
  • Creating derivative works that mimic or rely on The EcoPrint source code or design
  • Removing or altering copyright, licensing, or attribution notices
  • Framing or mirroring The EcoPrint’s website or digital properties without consent
  • Using automated tools or bots to scrape or extract proprietary data

Any such activity is a violation of this policy and may result in immediate termination of access, legal action, or both.

6. User Submissions and Feedback

If you voluntarily provide The EcoPrint with any feedback, suggestions, error reports, or ideas for improvement, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You grant The EcoPrint a worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, and perpetual license to use your submission for any purpose
  • The EcoPrint is not obligated to compensate you or provide credit
  • You represent that your submission does not infringe the rights of any third party

7. Third-Party Content and Licenses

Some components of EcoPrint software or web content may include third-party libraries, open-source elements, or integrations that are governed by separate license terms (e.g., MIT, GPL, Apache 2.0). These elements will be clearly marked, and their usage is permitted only in accordance with their respective licenses.

The EcoPrint makes no claim of ownership over third-party trademarks or content, and all such materials remain the property of their respective holders.

8. Reporting Copyright Infringement (DMCA Compliance)

In compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), The EcoPrint will respond to legitimate claims of copyright infringement.

To file a DMCA takedown notice, you must submit a written notification that includes:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative
  • A description of the copyrighted work allegedly infringed
  • The exact URL or location of the material in question
  • A statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the information provided is accurate
  • Your full legal name, address, phone number, and email

Upon receiving a valid complaint, we will review and, where appropriate, remove or restrict access to the infringing content within 10 business days.

9. Enforcement and Remedies

Violations of this Copyright Policy may result in:

  • Suspension or revocation of software access and license
  • Formal cease-and-desist notices
  • Civil lawsuits seeking damages, profits, and injunctive relief
  • Criminal prosecution under applicable laws

The EcoPrint will pursue enforcement through all legal means available, including coordination with hosting providers, payment processors, domain registrars, and U.S. or international law enforcement agencies.

10. International Protection and Compliance

The EcoPrint protects its intellectual property globally through:

  • U.S. Copyright Office Registration
  • Trademark registration in the U.S. and selected jurisdictions
  • Adherence to the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works
  • Participation in the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and TRIPS Agreement

International users must also comply with their local copyright laws and honor cross-border IP enforcement agreements.

The EcoPrint reserves the right to update or modify this policy at any time. Updates will be published on our official website and become effective immediately unless stated otherwise. Users are encouraged to review this page periodically to remain informed of their rights and obligations.
